the country. 60s this morning in dallas, 30s in minneapolis, many areas of the east coast are in the 30s and 40s. as the weekend goes through the warm air will move across the nation. some of the worst weather will be found in montana, north dakota. snow is flying. blizzard warnings for the northeast sections. great falls has snow. rain around pocatella. that will be the trouble spot. northern rockies, trouble area, six to 12 inches widespread. up along the ka nad yan border, significant snow too. cold start for the eastern half of the country should be a nice warmer finish and the weekend looks even better. here's a look at the weather outside your window. sunshine in philadelphia, 53 degrees today. still a relatively cold day for this time of year. you should be getting up into the 60s pretty soon. memphis ten see and oklahoma city, no complaints there, low 70s. i already teased it a little bit, but the weekend forecast, some people are going to be smiling. >> i'm already smiling. >> you know what's coming. >> that's easy. >> you're cheating. >> exactly. director petraeus on benghazi a

. we've got 70s, even low 80s down around dallas. we're not going to get here, but i do think on sunday as we continue to see this mild air push eastward with some fairly flei nice sunshine a few neighborhoods topping out above 70 degrees on sunday. all right, for your good night wake-up forecast. chilly conditions for sure for the evening and then even tomorrow morning 41, 42 and that's still pretty nippy, as well. other locations starting out in the mid and upper 30s. we have a chilly, dry evening. notice the clouds coming into the area tomorrow. that is a warm front that is going to make it way up there to new york. we're going to see a few clouds with it tomorrow, not a big deal at all. partly sunny and, again, i'm still calling tomorrow nice as far as sky conditions and then even better on sunday. more sunshine throughout the area. all the way north to pennsylvania and all the way south down to the carolinas as high pressure moves in out ahead of our next front. milder and better-looking sky for sunday and the next weather front will not bring any rain to the area until some time a

move across the region. we don't mind a warm front every now and then. 72 in st. louis and 83 in dallas and 72 in memphis and that warmer air will slide our way overnight tonight and through the day tomorrow and that's why i think tomorrow we'll get back into the 60s. plenty of sunshine today with high pressure dominating. here come those clouds in here tomorrow. we'll call it partly cloudy and i think we could see mostly cloudy periods during the day, but, still, warm enough to get above 60 degrees and that will be the arverage high temperatur tomorrow. on sunday, nothing but sunshine and get up to 70 in many locations. again, sunday looking fantastic. nice evening and 54 degrees, and some areas there might be colder than that. tomorrow morning about 30 degrees in some of the coldest areas and 41 degrees in the city. once again, increasing clouds and nice and mild. temperatures 60 to 65 degrees and winds light tomorrow, but those winds will be increasing on sunday out of the south and that will push us to 70 on sunday and monday coming in at 72 degrees and veterans day looks very, very

holiday, in dallas, hundreds lined downtown streets for the annual veterans day parade. a similar scene played out this morning in the military-rich community of virginia beach. it's one of the biggest veterans day parades in the country. still this afternoon we'll introduce you to a local veteran who is literally running across the country to help wounded warriors. >>> this week president obama will focus on ways to avert the so-called fiscal cliff. he'll be meeting with labor and business leaders starting tomorrow. then sit down with congress al leaders friday. top democrats and republicans have until the end of the year to agree on deep budget cuts. if they can't reach a deal, a series of tax increases and spending cuts will automatically kick in. the key sticking point for a compromise is a tax cut for wealthier americans. >> jim, both sides say they're willing to bend. the question here is how far. president obama and congressional republicans are squaring off this week over tax cuts for the rich. and if they can't work out their differences by december 31st, we're all in trouble.
